Some knitting?

I have been working on Hedera (Cookie A.'s sock from Knitty.com) and I think I did something wrong on the gusset, but I am not stopping. It will be just fine.









I really wanted a pair of WARM socks so I tried using Lamb's Pride worsted and some leftover yarn and size 6 needles and I love these guys. They are warm and cozy and a little goofy. Next time I might put the darker color on the ankle and the lighter color on the foot.








Here are the Alligator Scarves from Morehouse Farms.
These were fun to knit and if the grandkidlets hadn't been using them as toys, they wouldn't be all stretched out.






And here are Joe and Laura playing carpet hockey.
Laura thought they should be wearing helmets, so that is why they have the hardhats on. Don't ask why we have hardhats in the living room.

The Noro Kureyon Sock yarn is beautiful, but I was hating the way it worked up in socks.





I just can't wait to finish and block this!

OMG, it's been a long time

I received my invitation to Ravelry and I haven't been remembering to update this too.
I have been knitting socks and mittens and hats and I will get the pictures up here ASAP.
Like tomorrow! ;-D

I am finally enjoying this sock.

I had been working of this sock for a long time and it finally dawned on me that I really didn't like it.
Into the frog pond we went!






Here's the same yarn with a different pattern and I am really liking it. It is the Opal Hundertwasser and I am using the Eagle's Flight pattern from the PT Yarn site.

Saturday Sky of the month ;-D

Yes, I have been knitting. Just not blogging.
Here is a picture of my dishcloth in progress.
I went in the house to check on my 150 year old dog and this is what happened!
It hailed on my stuff! I rescued it before the rain really started.
We don't get a lot of sky around here. Too many huge trees. But that helps keep the house cool ;-D

We should cook to have something good to eat and because cooking itself is nourishing to our souls.

I still knit a bit

I finished another Wonderful Wallaby.
I changed the neckline because I didn't have enough yarn for a hood or even a collar.
The little rolled edge looks just fine.
I like to use Encore for all my kids' clothing. It washes up so well!
