This is my garage. Joe is moving from his Coon Rapids apartment to his Uptown apartment and he used Mom and Dad's garage as the stopover. Remember when all your possessions fit in a single stall garage?
I had registered a team to walk this Saturday, but Joe is moving to a new apartment, so it just didn't happen. I did go down and turn in my money and I picked up a t-shirt for Lindsay. She's the reason! The sky looked a little threatening, but it has cleared up and this will be a beautiful day!
This guy (or gal?) was an official mascot and you could get your picture taken with him (or her?).
I didn't stay for the Walk, but I did take a picture of where we will be next year! Closer to the cure!
These are the only buttons that I know how to make. I finished my Red Scarf, but the light is so bad that I will take a picture tomorrow. I used the Irish Hiking pattern and Red Wool-Ease. I know several people who would love it, so I'm sure it will find a good home.
I get to join this team because I was raised there and I have family there. We are all knitting Scarves for Foster Kids who have aged out of the system and are headed off to college. Check it out!
I've been waiting for the sun to come out. I give up. It's not going to happen, ever! This is our Saturday Sky. But it was a good day for roasting tomatoes and garlic and making apple pie filling for the freezer. I even made jalapeno jelly yesterday. It's just that kind of weather.
It was a beautiful day to go to the Renaissance Festival. Windy, but dry and warm. I always head to the Mead dealer and then we sit on bench and watch all the people. Someday I'm going to make my own!
I just haven't posted about it lately. I'll try to do better. There will be pictures later. I promise!
Finally! Pictures! The blue one is finished (except for sewing in the ends and the under arms) and the yellow and blue one is getting its shoulders tonight. How on earth did that little girl get in here? Emptying shelves is a fun activity!
I know there are a lot of knitters who like to knit for local charities. I just read this great list of pointers for getting the most out of your donation.
